School trips to the bauble factory
A living lesson in craftsmanship at the oldest bauble factory in Gniezno, operating since 1946. Students see how a bauble is born from a heated glass tube, and in the workshop they decorate their own — and take them home. A perfect school trip destination in Greater Poland, about 50 km from Poznań.
How the trip goes
Welcome and entry to the educational path
The group enters the educational path with a guide, leading through a real, working manufactory.
Blowing, silvering, lacquering, decorating
Students watch the whole process live: glass blowing over a burner, silvering the inside of the bauble with silver nitrate, hand lacquering and glitter decoration.
Bauble painting workshop (extended package)
Under the guidance of an artist, each student decorates two baubles. Children do not work with hot glass — they decorate ready-blown baubles and take their work home.
A farewell gift
Every participant receives a gift of their choice: a personalised bauble or a tube of 6 colourful glitter baubles (6 cm).

Questions from teachers and organizers
Frequently asked questions
Can the factory host a whole class or two classes at once?
Yes. The Bolglass workshop room holds up to 92 people, so two school classes with their carers can tour and take part in workshops at the same time.
Is there parking for a school coach?
Yes, free and supervised, on the enclosed premises of the manufactory at ul. Witkowska 78 in Gniezno.
From what age can children take part in the workshops?
Bolglass regularly hosts kindergarten and school groups. The workshops involve decorating ready-made baubles with paints and glitter under an artist's guidance — children do not work with hot glass, so even preschoolers manage well.
How do I book a date for a school?
The easiest way is online at bolglass.pl — the system shows available dates and the price for your group size. For larger groups or unusual hours it is worth calling — we will arrange the details individually.
When is the best time to come with a trip?
The manufactory welcomes groups all year round, Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:00. The pre-Christmas season (October–December) is the most popular, so autumn dates are best booked in advance.
